How do you cope with post/banking during Public/Bank holidays?
Public Holidays and Bank Holidays 2013
Everyone likes (and needs) a holiday, but when you are running a business you need to make sure you consider how those holidays are actually going to affect your business.
Things to consider:-
Are you expecting to receive/send mail around the holiday period?
Do you have mail that needs to arrive by a specific date? (factor in some extra delivery time)
Is there an alternative to your normal mail handling option? (Courier/email/collect/deliver, etc.)
How are payments going to be dealt with? (both incoming and outgoing)
Have you safe secure storage for cash/cheques during this time?
Do you need to allow extra time for funds to clear through the banking system?
Do you need to pay staff early?
Take a little bit of time to plan what you need to put in place so you too can enjoy the short break.
